When I moved to Texas, it took very little time to find traditional medical practitioners. In contrast, finding the right alternative healthcare practitioners took way too much time and energy.  I believe in traditional medicine and I also believe that to live a long and healthy life, we need to integrate traditional care with alternative healthcare.   

I’ve had open heart surgery three times and have an artificial heart valve.  When my medical team operated, they were concerned about my heart and not on what was happening to my spine when they opened my sternum.   After that surgery, I went to my chiropractor for a spinal adjustment as soon as I could lay face down on his table.  I also scheduled therapeutic massages and acupuncture treatments to heal my body and the trauma of heart disease and surgery.
